EMERGENCY

Why have a Voluntary Marine Rescue Group?

Australia has a large coastline and a comparatively small population.

Australians enjoy boating and are always willing to help those in need.

Governments cannot afford the costs of Marine Rescue, so they provide some funding to groups who will:

- Provide their time for free
- Put themselves at risk to assist others in need
- Raise funds from the community
- Train to become proficient
